The Institute For The Study Of African Presence In The Bible: Certified Program is a welcoming, structured learning experience for learners from all backgrounds. It is designed to deepen understanding of Scripture through the study of African people, places, nations, history, and biblical connections. The program is accessible, spiritually enriching, and paced to support meaningful learning throughout the 32-week journey.

Students gain historical context, clarity, and confidence to understand and share the African presence throughout the biblical narrative.

What This Program Includes

This program is designed for learners from all backgrounds who desire a deeper, historically grounded understanding of Scripture and the African presence throughout the biblical narrative.

Each module includes:

  • Pre-recorded video lectures

  • Guided readings and course materials

  • Quizzes

  • Essay assignments

  • Resources to support teaching and ministry

  • Bi-weekly Zoom sessions with Dr. Williams and cohort members for discussion, clarification, and continued learning

 

​The 32-week structure provides learners with a clear, supportive pathway through the program while allowing time to engage deeply with the material, reflect on key concepts, and grow in their understanding of African presence in Scripture, biblical history, theology, and interpretation.

    Students who successfully complete the 32-week Certified Program receive a Certificate of Completion from The Institute for the Study of African Presence in the Bible.
     

  2. Capstone Project and Presentation
    Students will complete a capstone project that brings together what they have learned throughout the program and present their work as part of the program-completion experience.
     

  3.  Academic and Continuing Education Opportunities — Coming Soon

Dr. Theron D. Williams

Dr. Williams is a pastor, author, researcher, and educator whose decades of study and scholarship form the foundation of The Institute for the Study of African Presence in the Bible.


Throughout the 32-week Certified Program, students learn directly from Dr. Williams through pre-recorded lectures and bi-weekly Zoom sessions with their cohort.
